Usher's Memorable Super Bowl Performance
This year's Super Bowl had a lot of excitement surrounding it, with the Chiefs going for back-to-back wins, it being held in Las Vegas, and Usher performing at half-time. There was a lot of hype for what songs he would perform, who he would bring out, and the overall performance. Usher delivered on all fronts, taking us through various times in his legendary discography mixing in well-timed features and even a live band.
Getting the show kicked off with "Caught Up", one of six songs he performed from his classic Confessions album, got the show off to a great start. The choreography and showmanship were in full force from the show's onset, providing captivating visuals to take in.
After getting through his next songs, "U Don't Have to Call," "Superstar," and "Love in This Club," we were graced with the first celebrity appearance of the show Alicia Keys. She entered playing her classic song "Ain't Got You" before transitioning to their duet "My Boo"
Jermaine Dupri then introduced "Confessions Part II" for its 20-year anniversary. He followed this with a quick run down memory lane with "Nice & Slow" before jumping into "Burn," where he brought out H.E.R. on the guitar. H.E.R. stayed on while Usher disappeared for a quick wardrobe change and continued to play the guitar portion of "Bad Girl" .
Usher came back out to do a skating routine to "OMG", which featured will.i.am on stage with him for the performance. The show closed out with a bang, first bringing out Lil Jon performing his song "Turn Down for What" which then transitioned to "Yeah". Usher sang his portion of the song, closing with Ludacris appearing to do his verse on the track.
